Crawling!

Well, Atchuthan turned seven months old today and decided he could crawl. So his first attempt in the morning was just a few steps before he did a face plant. The next time he went a little further. He kept working on it until this evening when this video was taken. Have a look.

He is now trying very hard to stand also. So once he's perfected crawling he'll probably start working on that. No Sign of any teeth yet though. He's all gums for now.

Highlights of the week.

Here he is all dressed up like a big boy and ready to go to Sho's house.

Uhmm - are you guys ready yet?

Playing a silly game with daddy.

Ats has been rocking like crazy and is moving forward in weird ways. He is getting ready to crawl soon.

Sitting up on his own! He has been doing this since yesterday. He can't do it consistently but I think he's got the hang of it and will probably start doing it more often as the days go by. He is growing up too fast for us.

First time in the pool.

Last Friday we visited Shaz and her kids. It was a really hot day and so she decided to fill up the kiddie pool. This was Ats' first time in the pool.

Here he is with Shaz aunty and her kids Raushan, Armaan and Kamran + her nephews Rafe and Ibaad.

Whee - I think I like this water thingy.

Do we really have to get out of this?

First vacation - Newport, RI

Ats went on his first vacation this Memorial Day weekend. He did very well on the car ride - he slept most of the time. Our first stop was Providence, RI where Atchuthan got to ride in a carousel for the first time. He loved it.

We then proceeded to Newport, RI. There we spent the evening walking near the harbor. Here I am exhausted from all the traveling.

Totally amused by his mirror image at the hotel.

The next morning we had breakfast at the Rhumb Line. My first time in a high chair. Patti is feeding me some of her scone - mmm - Yummy!

Then we went to Fort St. Adams, which is enormous and apparently was built to guard against enemy attacks by sea. However, a battle was never fought at this fort. It is being renovated and slowly converted into a museum.
It was a fun weekend and Ats did very well with all the traveling.

Ats turns 6 months!

Well, he actually turned 6 months old last week but we've been a little busy and haven't updated his blog. He had his 6 month well baby visit yesterday and did very well. He's shot up 2.5 inches in one month! Also, he didn't cry at all when he got his shots - just flinched a little and then he was laughing the doctor. Here are some random pictures of his from the past week.
Being silly while eating.
All done.
Back from Smita and Harish's wedding where I had a lot of fun!

The other highlights are that his thatha is also here to visit and Ats is enjoying all the attention right now from his grand parents. We're going to be in big trouble once they leave. He's also trying very hard to crawl. He does move forward like a worm on the bed but not yet on the floor. I'm sure it's coming soon. We haven't been able to capture it yet on video. Will post one as soon as we can get it.
