Sea World

The major hit of our trip was Sea World. Atchuthan loved it so much we ended up spending two full days there.

This is Day 1 when we mostly took in all the shows.

Atchuthan loved all the kiddie rides too.

And here is Part 2 at Sea World. The highlight of this was us getting to feed the dolphins. This allowed us to get really close to them and even touch them. Ats really loved throwing fish into their mouths.

Holiday lights and ICE!

The hotel we stayed in had a really cool atrium with Koi fish all over the place. They also had turtles and alligators. Here are some pictures of the atrium and their ICE! exhibit.

All the sculptures in the exhibit were made of ice. The exhibit was maintained at a COLD 9F. These sculptures were carved by artists that they brought in from Harbin, China. Very cool!

Florida!

We took a vacation to Orlando last week and had a blast. It was nice to get a break from the cold weather and do some fun stuff. I'm breaking it down to a few posts as we have tons of pictures. The first place we visited was Disney's Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Here is a slide show of our evening there. Atchuthan LOVED meeting all the characters. He really enjoyed the little rides in there - his favorite was the Haunted Mansion. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures in there as it was too dark - but he was not the least bit scared and was laughing all the way.

Here is a little clip of the fireworks.

Mickey and Minnie at the Christmas Parade.

Atchuthan fell asleep as we were making our way out of the park (it was midnight then) when we spotted Tigger and Piglet and mean mommy actually woke him up so he could meet them. It was totally worth it.

This was a really fun trip and we can't wait to go back when he's a little older and can enjoy Disney World more.

The train table

We set it up for him with all the trains. Here's how it looks when it's set up nicely. We still need to work on it a little and make it look more like a train table.
And this what he does to it when playing. (breaks the tracks up, tries to build them again and ends up with broken tracks). As long as he's having fun, we're not complaining.

Another party!

Atchuthan loved all the attention he got for his birthday. We had another party for friends and family on Friday night. He loved playing with all his cousins and friends. This is the first time we hosted so many people at our home and thankfully, it didn't turn into a disaster.
The kids on the dance floor. They enjoyed the music and created an impromptu dance floor in our living room.
Enjoying appetizers and some conversatioon.
The cake! I know it was a Thomas-themed party but it was too much work and I couldn't find an appropriate cake-pan. So we went with vinatge cars instead. Luckily, it turned out well. Wondering why everyone was singing.
Ooh - candle time again. I love blowing them out.
Mhmmm - yummy cake.
Yay - more presents. Thanks to Aunty Aneeta, Uncle Srinivas, Anand and Sunny for the Thomas engine and tracks. He LOVES the book too. :)
Thanks to Sho periamma, periappa, Krishna and Rofan for another Thomas set!
Wow - more trains. Thank you Zukinya (;)), Muk and Trisha.
Yay for trucks! Thank you Apooba and Govind.
And cars too? Wow this is definitely my lucky day. Thanks Latha periamma, Bagga periappa, Radh, Vichi and DJ anna.
And Aunty Shaz, Rick uncle, Raushan, Armaan and Kamaran got him some cool engines from the Thomas show for his tracks. Thanks guys. (will add pictures soon)

Sharing his toys.
I just had to post this one - a perfect frying puri. Thanks ladies for helping me make them :).
I hope everyone had a good time. We enjoyed having everyone over. Thanks for all the wonderful presents too!
