A Few Steps!

Ats is quite close to walking. He took a few steps on his own yesterday. He looks so proud when he does it. Here are a couple of videos of him taking a few steps.

Chattering away

He loves to chatter away these days. He's going to be quite the "talker", we think. His vocabulary so far includes "amma", "appa", "Hi" and "O" for Hello. His favorite game now is to imitate us when we sneeze. Here're are a couple of videos.

First Haircut!

Since his hair was getting in his eyes, we decided it was time for his first haircut. Daddy did the honors. Here's the Before & After. Not bad, I suppose.

First visit to the US Open

We took Ats to his first US Open on Labor Day. He was pretty good though it was a super hot day and didn't complain too much. We were able to watch three matches that day. One was a doubles match with Sania Mirza playing, which she won. We saw Shahar Peer and also Nikolai Davydenko play in Louis Armstrong Stadium. Here are a few pictures from the visit -

Self-feeding!

Finally, we've gotten to the point where Ats can feed himself some finger foods. His favorties are Cheerios, Goldfish and little cubes of cheese. The only downside to this is we have cheerios all over the floor now and anything on the carpet that looks remotely edible to him goes in his mouth - favorite being paper, of course.
