Puzzle crazy

Ats absolutely LOVES puzzles. He really enjoys them and seems to learn better through them. And the Melissa & Doug ones are awesome. I just got him their Number Peg puzzle, the chunky colors and shapes and the ABC Peg puzzle. Here he is working on the numbers puzzle. He was more interested in the camera but I managed to get a few seconds of it before he grabbed the camera.

Some backyard fun with daddy

This is how we spend at least a half an hour most evenings - kicking/throwing a few balls around with daddy in the back yard or running around in the grass there.

A Day Out with Thomas!

As most of you know, Atchuthan is a HUGE fan of Thomas the Tank Engine. So when Thomas came visiting to a town near us, we decided to take him for a day of fun. He really enjoyed himself and was enamored to meet Thomas and Sir Topham Hat. Here are a few glimpses into his day out with Thomas.

First up-close encounter.

Happy Feet!

Atchuthan got to see his first full-length movie recently. The Regal movie theater here has a Summer Family Film Festival - they play FREE movies for kids on Tue and Wed mornings. So I decided to risk it and see if he would actually sit through a whole movie. They were playing Happy Feet which I thought might hold his interest - it had animals in it, music and dancing - all his favorite ingredients. He really liked it. So here's what he got from the movie -

Anytime you mention "Penguin" to him now, he starts dancing like the one in the movie. I think the outing was a success and we'll try to go to the Curious George movie at the end of the month before the event ends.
