Sorry about the dark video - the only time he would actually co-operate and let us get this on video was first thing in the morning when he was lying in bed with us. And of course, he likes to wake up at 6.15 ...

Ocean City
We took Ats on his first beach vacation this past weekend to Ocean City, MD. He LOVED the sand and the water.
On the way there, we decided to take the Cape May-Lewes Ferry to break the drive a bit and to let him experience a ferry ride.
The first evening we were out at the Boardwalk. Here he is chasing the sea gulls and playing a little in the sand.
Tired and hungry - where's dinner? Waiting for dinner to arrive at one of the boardwalk restaurants.
The next morning - at the Beach. He was rolling in the sand and loving it.
Enjoying the waves with daddy.
Making sand castles (or breaking them).
Going on some rides at the Boardwalk.
Tuesday turned out to be a cold and gray day. So we took him to play mini-golf instead.
He had a very fun but tiring vacation. Sleeping peacefully with "George Monkey".

I can talk
Atchuthan's talking has exploded in recent weeks. Here's a video of him taken 2 weeks ago where he's making his usual complaint "Mommy's giving me a Time Out". Those of you who have met him recently have all heard him complain about this :). For those who haven't heard it yet - that's the first thing he'll tell you. And it's not like he gets them every day or anything, in fact it's been a few weeks since he got one. But, apparently, it has made a huge impression on him.

Puzzle crazy
Ats absolutely LOVES puzzles. He really enjoys them and seems to learn better through them. And the Melissa & Doug ones are awesome. I just got him their Number Peg puzzle, the chunky colors and shapes and the ABC Peg puzzle. Here he is working on the numbers puzzle. He was more interested in the camera but I managed to get a few seconds of it before he grabbed the camera.
